According to an announcement made by the company, the Cumbica International Airport, in Guarulhos, will receive the first line of maintenance technical operations in Latin America, of Delta Air Lines. The TechOps (abbreviation) is part of the company’s growth strategy in the region.
According to information from Nicolas Ferri, vice president of Delta Air Lines in Latin America and the Caribbean, the installation of this line in Brazil is a logical step in the company’s commitment to grow throughout the American continent.
A spokesperson for the Delta has announced that the operation will have 26 employees, as technicians, supervisors and manager. Thus, as the company said in a statement, the line in Guarulhos can provide an immediate maintenance of aircraft on the ground in a very important market for the company. The company already has 50 other maintenance lines around the world, providing technical support to the fleet.
Delta also announced it has received authorization from the Department of Transportation of the United States to make another direct flight between São Paulo and Atlanta.
